During their Annual general shareholders meeting LG Display announced that they plan to produce OLED TVs in 2013. LG is already starting to construct their Gen-8 AMOLED fab which is planned to start production by the end of 2011- but it appears that the company believes that it will only be able to mass-produce cost-competitive OLED TVs in 2013.

LGs 8-Gen fab will produce 2,200x2,500mm glass substrates. The monthly capacity will be 24,000 substrates, or 72,000 55" OLED TV panels. LG also plans to produce 31" panels later on. (From www.Oled-info.com )
