SEOUL, Korea (AVING) -- <Visual News> LED and FPD (Lighting of the future) plus DID (Technology core of the next generation of outdoor advertising) -- ALL in one place.

"LED EXPO & OLED EXPO 2011" will be held at Il San KINTEX from June 21st through June 24th,, 2011, and will run concurrently with the first edition of DID (Digital Information Display) EXPO.

Now in its ninth year, the internationally renown LED EXPO & OLED EXPO is organized by LED EXPO.com (EXPONU), KAPID (Korea Association for Photonics Industry Development), KLEDA (Korea LED Association), KOTRA, and KINTEX. Sponsors of the event are the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, GyeonGi-Do, Goyang City, Paju City, KOPTI (Korea Photonics Technology Institute), JLEDs (Japan LED Association), PIDA (Photonics Industry & Technology), and CALI (China Association of Lighting Industry).

LED EXPO began in 2003 as the worlds first international exhibition dedicated solely to the LED industry and in the nine years since then has grown more than 20 percent per year. The Expo has been designated as a "promising trade show" by the Korean Ministry of Knowledge Economy and has been certified by UFI (Union des Foires Internationales).

More than 60 percent of participating companies return to the show each year. Returning companies this year include Kumho Electronic, Vissem Electronics, Fine Technix, Star Net, Lumens, Jaejin Lighting, Kumyoung and others. Early new entrants to Expo 2011 include Samik Electronics, Young Dong Techwin, GE Lighting, Evans Analytical Group from USA, and Tokuyama from Japan, and GAT Electronics from Taiwan.

Among the many LED products exhibited at the show are LED Chips, LED lighting, green lighting, packages and modules, LED applications, power supplies, and outdoor advertising displays. OLED industry product exhibits include AMOLEDs, PMOLEDs, FPDs, LCDs, PDPs, panels, displays, parts and equipment, and more.

From 2011, Digital Information Display (DID) will be added as a new product category to the existing EXPO format. Breakthroughs in DID are expanding horizons in outdoor advertising and 3D displays and creating exciting new business opportunities.

Much-acclaimed industry seminars led by prominent academic and business leaders are another distinguishing feature of the LED and OLED EXPO. The show also provides one-to-one business matchmaking services to supplement meetings generated on the show floor. Following past year trends, LED Expo 2011 is anticipating an increase in the number foreign buyers participating in the next years event.

Early applicants (application by Dec. 30th) will receive a 10 percent discount on booth rates and have the benefit of choosing their preferred booth location.
