55-inch OLED TV using an IGZO thin-film transistor

At the SID-2013 the managing director of LG Display Oh Chang-ho says that the korean company plans a wide range of UHD OLED-Television devices in various sizes and designs in 2015. LG-Display plans also to introduce a 55 inch OLED Tv using an IGZO thin-film transistor technology.

Mr. Oh Chang-Ho showcased also a roadmap for OLED-Tv panel as a product, and he says:

“LG Display’s OLED TV panel is a combined product into which IGZO, white OLED, pixel driving circuit technology and encapsulation technology are applied.

“We are planning to put into the market a family of OLED TV products in different sizes for customers as we did for the existing LCD TV. And we believe we could build a full production line by 2015,” adds Mr. Oh.
