LG Electronics held a presentation for its new home appliances in Sao Paulo, Brazil for two days from March 6 to 7, boasting its next generation premium TVs.
At the event of ‘Digital Experience 2013’, the local home appliances giant introduced 375 strategic household appliances and Smartphone products. The company’s main show, however, was spared for its premium TVs, including a 55-inch Organic Light-Emitting Diode (OLED) TV and an 84-inch Ultra High Definition (UHD) TV. Some 3,000 visitors, 160 people from the media and 1,000 buyers came for the event.
It was the OLED TV, which was launched early this year for the first time in the world and is embedded with LG’s unique TV technology of ‘WRGB’, that received the most attention at the digital gadget show. LG’s UHD TV, which was introduced to the Brazilian market in November last year, made a big hit there as well. The UHD TV has a large screen with a high resolution of 3840×2160, four times as vivid as the existing Full HD TV.
By beefing up the VVIP marketing campaign in the Latin American market, the company plans to dominate the global next generation TV market later on.
