Korea Photonics Technology Institute (CEO Kim Young-Sun), has attended "The 15th International LED & OLED EXPO 2017" which is being held from June 27th(Tue) to 29th(Thu) at hall 3 and 4 of exhibition hall 1, Ilsan KINTEX and introduced business construction of LED convergence industry hub then exhibited the results. Korea Photonics Technology Institute is an institute of production technology which specializes in optical industry under Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, that has opened with the purpose of research development and company support for the optical industry improvement which is the national new growth driver industry.
Currently, a total number of 262(70% of the technical personnel and 70% of master and doctor) employees are working and they are building infrastructure such as advanced equipment, clean room facility, core advanced personnel, and global network, and support services are being provided through the technology development such as recipe, process manufacturing know-how, manufacturing document and intellectual property right.
In particular, its concentrating the research capabilities on core areas of optical industry such as LED, OLED, optical communication parts and modules, infrared optical lens, industrial laser, intelligent sensor, solar cell, 3D convergence, and optical medical.
In this exhibition, it has exhibited results of supporting organizations and companies such as NIT LED based active emergency guard system, LED harbor light, functional LED system, LED radiating automotive headlight, and microalgae cultivation LED light including zero energy system of KEPCO.

Meanwhile, International LED & OLED EXPO 2017 is the largest LED & OLED specialized trade show in Korea with over 350 domestic and foreign companies participating. Also, during the exhibition, 'Laser EXPO 2017' and 'LED Industry forum 2017', which invited the leading authorities of LED industries to explore the current status and development direction of LED industry, were held simultaneously.
